DATE: Sunday 29th June 2008

** IMPORTANT NOTE ** Anyone coming by car, if your route may include Holyrood Park or the Duddingston area there may well be road closures or disruption to traffic due to the Race For Life 5k & 10k runs that day with an anticipated 8,000 participants.

TIME: Meet at 9.45 a.m for 10.00 a.m. start. 3 hour leisurely cycle ride including rests & coffee break.

STARTING POINT: Inverleith Park - West Gate (East Fettes Avenue)  Meeting PointView Larger Map

DESTINATION: Ocean Teminal (Leith)

ROUTE SUMMARY: This ride offers a relaxed cycle, largely away from traffic exploring places of interest to the North & East of the city.

DISTANCE: Approximately 10 miles.

DETAILS: Come and join us for a gentle leisurely paced run round the paths and quieter roads of Leith exploring some not so well known paths around Warriston, Leith, Restalrig and Eastern General hospital. The route out will be via Inverleith Park, Rocheid path, Warriston, Route75 to Leith, minor roads to Easter Road, cycle paths through restalrig and Seafield returning to Leith Links then round the redevloped dock area to Ocean Terminal for coffee or lunch. Return is Lindsay road and the North Edinburgh path, Five Ways junction and Warriston to Inverleith Park. For lunch there's a number of coffee shops and cafe's in Ocean terminal with varied food, or you can bring your own sandwiches to eat.
