View from Cramond Brig

TIME: Meet at 9.45 a.m for 10.00 a.m. start. 3½ hour leisurely cycle ride including rests & a coffee break.

STARTING POINT: Ainslie Park Leisure Centre,(near entrance), 92 Pilton Drive, Edinburgh EH5 2HF.

ROUTE SUMMARY: This ride offers a relaxed cycle, largely away from traffic exploring places of interest on the west of the city.

DISTANCE: Approximately 11 miles.

DETAILS: Not had your summer holiday yet - well this is as good as! After this short ride you'll feel you have escaped the city for a good rest. We'll cycle along a section of the North Edinburgh Path Network (part of which is formerly the Roseburn - Leith old rail path), then head west towards Barnton & Cramond. Country Parks, Golf, Sailing, Fly Fishing - it's all there to see. We'll enjoy the great outdoors before resting at one of our favourite coffee stops - the very welcoming Cramond Boat Club. From here we'll cycle along the esplanade & back to Ainslie Park. Tourism on your doorstep!.
